Why we built this
I lost my dad in 2023. The memorial website we used felt cold and impersonal. Just another form to fill in, another database to update.
I wanted something that felt like a conversation with friends. Not a corporate obituary page. A place where someone could share a story the way they'd tell it over tea. Not through dropdown menus and character limits.
Most memorial sites are designed by people who've never had to use one. We're building this from the opposite direction. What would actually help when you're grieving? What would make it easier, not harder?
Weloved is what I wish existed then.
